What is so special about
ML’s Natural Dream Homes? Never before have so many unique benefits been realized in one home without compromising luxury design and functionality. Our homes represent a fundamental change to the construction industry. We invite you to be a part of this amazing concept home. What is Green Built? Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water and materials by reducing impacts on human health and the environment through sustainable sites, design, construction, operation, maintenance and removal.

Green Certifications
LEEDS for Homes We will be working with Active Energies to pursue a LEED for Homes (LEED-H) certification as a part of the LEEDS for Homes pilot program. The LEED Certification is a rigorous point-based system that has been in the developmental stages for several years. It is designed to provide an industry standard for environmental responsibility, and is based on a checklist of what constitutes a high-performance home. Environmental factors include: sustainable sites; energy and atmosphere; water efficiency; materials and resources; indoor environmental quality; and innovation and design process.
Energy Star Homes that earn the ENERGY STAR rating must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. ENERGY STAR-qualified homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC).
ENERGY STAR-qualified homes can include a variety of energy-efficient features, such as effective insulation, high-performance windows, tight construction and ducts, efficient heating and cooling equipment, and ENERGY STAR-qualified lighting and appliances.
Through ENERGY STAR, builders and other home-industry professionals can differentiate themselves in the market. New homes that qualify as ENERGY STAR provide greater comfort and durability for home buyers. In addition, ENERGY STAR-qualified homes help protect the environment by reducing the greenhouse gas emissions associated with global warming.
Built Green The largest green-building program in the nation, Built Green is a voluntary program. The purpose of Built Green Colorado is to encourage home builders to use technologies, products and practices that will:
• Provide greater energy efficiency and reduce pollution
• Provide healthier indoor air

Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties builds simple, decent homes in partnership with families in need. Since the affiliate opened its doors in 1995 it has been focused on creating low-income housing opportunities for working families in Eagle & Lake Counties. Throughout its 11-year existence, Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties has completed 14 homes in partnership with 14 families in need and is currently working to complete three more homes at the Bluffs in Eagle. Worldwide, Habitat for Humanity International has built more than 200,000 homes providing shelter to more than 1 million people in nearly 100 countries since its inception in 1976.
Partner families are selected based on their need for adequate shelter, their ability to pay for a home and their willingness to partner with Habitat. Habitat for Humanity is not a hand-out, but a hand-up. Families are required to pay a small down payment and a monthly mortgage payment at zero interest and must invest hundreds of “sweat equity” hours into the construction of their home.
Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties relies on cash donations, volunteer labor and donated construction materials to build affordable homes. It also operates the Habitat Home Outlet in Gypsum. The Outlet takes donations of furniture, appliances and building materials and sells them. The proceeds from sales of items at the Outlet go toward funding a home.
If you would like to get involved with Habitat for Humanity and make a direct impact on substandard housing in Eagle and Lake Counties please call 970-748-6718 or visit
